EQUINOCCIO meets twice a year on the Sundays closest to the tradicional equinox, that is, the Sundays closest to the 21st of March and to the 21st of September. In general the March meeting takes place in the east of Puerto Rico and the September meeting in the west. We try to hold the meetings in forests, or at beaches, nurseries, and farms that appeal to the interests of the members.

The principal reason for the meetings is to provide the members of EQUINOCCIO the opportunity to acquire rare trees and plants, preferably by making trades. The meetings are informal and unstructured which stimulates the exchange of information and ideas.

Those who wish to eat before, after, or during a meeting should bring their own food and drink and a bag in which to put the trash. Other members may prefer to  lunch at a restaurant after the meeting. Chaque à son goût.

When there are hosts for a meeting EQUINOCCIO grants them the right to establish an agenda and rules to their liking.

NOTES

The success of EQUINOCCIO depends on the members bringing trees and plants for exchange to the meetings. When an exchange can not be arranged EQUINOCCIO urges its members to sell the desired plants instead of giving them away.

EQUINOCCIO's meetings are open to everyone. You will be considered a member if you bring a plant or tree to a meeting and put your name and address on the membership list.
